Some possible causes, in /etc/ssh/sshd_config

• Set X11Forwarding yes
• Set X11UseLocalhost yes
• Set AddressFamily inet (if you don't need IPv6)

Other problems

• Remove all .Xauthority* files from your home directory
• Make sure xauth is installed and found by sshd
